Wolverine Vol.3 #37,40Itsu lived in a village near Jasmine Falls, Japan. Logan and Itsu became man and wife and Itsu became pregnaunt. After failing a test of Honor Logan returned home to find Itsu dead, shot in the heart and then twice in the stomach. Logan sought revenge and had Murmasa contructed a sword so powerful it could even kill himself. Logan later found out that Winter Soldier was behind Itsu's death and was following orders.
