James Howlett went mad and attacked Thomas as bone claws thrusted from his hands, which stabbed and killed Thomas. james then slashed Dog across the face, temporarly blinded Dog was caught by the police, and blamed Rose and James for the murders. grandpa Howlett rejected james as a freak and banished him. Dog grew up and later was asked by Grandpa Howlett to find his Grandson, James so he could die in peace. Although Dog's only intentions were to find and kill James for the death of his father.
