At Xavier School for the Gifted, Feral Wolverine goes on a mission for Cyclops and Jean Grey, to ask Gateway for information on Onslaught. Wolverine finds Gateway on the roof and ask for his help, Gateway shows Wolverine images from his past of when Mariko Yashida died. Wolverine falls off the roof of the school. elektra grabs Wolverine's hand and helps him back in through the window of the mansion. Wolverine ask why elektra has followed him, elektra tells him that she is their to help him back on the path and follows Wolverine back up to the roof. elektra tells Wolverine to let her talk to Gateway. elektra ask Gateway to please help Wolverine, but Gateway just sits there. elektra tells Wolverine that Gateway is just like her master, Stick. Suddenly Gateway turn to look at them. Then shows elektra images of when she was killed went to hell. elektra turn her head from the bad memories, Wolverine relieves that the images must be the answers to Onslaught.

Gateway takes elektra and Wolverine back in time to the moment Magneto pulled the adamantium out of Wolverine's body. Elektra and Wolverine watch as Professor X wipes out Magneto's mind with pure psychic energy, Wolverine and Elektra are phased into another level of perception. Elektra and Wolverine see a manifestation of Magneto's dark ego reach out from Magneto's body and depositing something in the chest of Xavier's body. Gateway transports Wolverine and Elektra back to the present.

Outside the Xavier school for Gifted Youngsters, Wolverine thinks that Professor Xavier turning into Onslaught is his fault. Wolverine tells elektra that if he didn't let Magneto hurt him, professor X wouldn't have snapped and let his dark side manifest. Wolverine tells elektra that until he saw him self in the past, he had forgot that he was once a man. elektra hugs Wolverine and tells him that he still is a man.
