New Mexico at the clinic, Cyclops, Cannonball, and Logan finds themselves face to face with Mustang, who has just turned into a prime sentinel. Logan tries to talk Mustang and tells him to fight, but his programming overwhelms him and he shots at Logan with his eyes, Logan leaps out of the blast range. Cyclops and Cannonball tries to stop Mustang, but they can't catch him. Logan leaps at him and tears into his side with his claws. Cannon ball helps some of the patients out of the clinic. Jubilee sees that Logan is alone with Mustang and runs into the clinic. Logan tries to get through to Mustang, but Mustang shots Logan in the chest, knocking him back. Jubilee enters the room and plasma blast Mustang in the face. Mustang goes blind again and realizes what has been happening.

Outside the clinic, Cannonball sees a massive army of prime sentinels and aircraft coming their way, but they realize that it was SHIELD and they were killing all the prime sentinels. A prime sentinel sees Cyclops down below him, flies down and shots Cyclops in the chest. Storm electrocutes the sentinel and it falls to the ground. Jean sees if Cyclops is ok, but he is hurt bad. Jean full of anger psionically rips the sentinel apart, Cannonball grabs the human that was left and takes him to the SHIELD medical team, who is also working on Cyclops. SHIELD commander G.W. Bridge then arrives with a few of his men. Their equipment detected a type of nano-tech sub-miniature device within Cyclops which they was not able to recognize. Logan, Mustang and Jubilee come out of the clinic with some floppy disk they found. Logan tells them that they could use the SHIELD aircraft to get Cyclops better help. Mustang tells Logan that he should go, because they was no telling how long Mustang could override his programming. Logan tells Mustang to go with SHIELD and they would be able to reverse the programming. The X-Men take off in the aircraft.

Onboard the aircraft in the air, Cyclops regains consciousness and Jean hugs him. Logan tells Storm that Cyclops and him haven’t always agreed on thing, but he wished Cyclops had the healing factor and not himself. Storm holds Logan's hand and tells him that Hate is a foe that everyone has to defeat. Cyclops tells Jean that he thinks Bastion implanted a bomb in him and it is spreading.
