...to Survive!,

North Battleford, Saskatchewan at Jim Jarman's farm, a young boy by the name Tommy Jarman follows his little dog Jake to the barn where they find Wolverine collapsed on the floor. Wolverine wakes up and sees Jake the dog and tries to get up, but yells in pain, Tommy tells Wolverine not to hurt his dog. Wolverine realizes that his body is trying to repair itself and he was dehydrated. Wolverine reaches for the kid and tries to talk, but can only mumble out "help" and "water". Tommy gets scared and runs away. Wolverine lays back and blacks out.

Later, Wolverine wakes up again still badly dehydrated. Wolverine not being able to get up, looks around and notices that he is in a barn, then sees that their was a glass of water and a plate of food on the floor. Wolverine reaches for the water and drinks some and pours the rest on his face. Wolverine tries to remember what had happened to him, he recalls that he was in the Weapon X facility when the Wendigo had smashed his way in and they got into a fight and Wendigo clawed him open.

Meanwhile, seventeen miles to the Northwest, Wendigo rest and washes his face and the injures that Wolverine gouged into his face. Wendigo remembers his past life, when he was still human. Wendigo recalls being a headmaster in Northwest Wisconsin, and chopping wood falls into a cavern below, the log he was chopping falls on him and the axe lands on his hand chopping off two of his fingers. This reminds him of the pain that Wolverine cause him and, Wendigo starts to hunt down Wolverine.

In the barn, Wolverine finally earns the kids trust and Tommy begins to bring medical supplies and other things like a heater and some kerosene to light it. Wolverine tells Tommy that he is a mutant, but Tommy doesn’t know what that is, so Wolverine explains that a mutant is a human being that is born different with special abilities and also tells him about his family the X-Men. Wolverine remembers that the Wendigo is probably going to try and find him and would follow his scent to the barn. Wolverine tells the kid that he has to go.

Norhtwest and closing, Wendigo charges toward the scent of Wolverine and remembers back on who he became the Wendigo. Back in the past when he was human and was stuck under a log for several days, he decided to eat his own severed fingers to survive and was cursed and became the Wendigo.

In the forest, Wolverine thinks if the Wendigo tracks his sent to the barn, he will think I’m still their and rip the barn to shreds. Wolverine rushes back to find that the Wendigo has found the barn and ripped the front doors off the barn. Tommy and his dog Jake hide underneath the barn, but Jake keeps barking at Wendigo that was right above them. Tommy tries to keep Jake quit, but its too late, Wendigo punches a hole right where the dog was. Wolverine jump kicks the back of Wendigo, which causes Wendigo to crash into a post. Wolverine throws kerosene into Wendigo’s face, which burns Wendigo's wounds. As Wendigo leaves it knocks over the heater, which ignites the kerosene on the floor. Wolverine picks up Tommy to get him out of the burning barn, suddenly Wendigo crashes through the wall to attack, but Wolverine picks up a axe which was on fire and hits Wendigo in the face, which ignites the Wendigo's face on fire. Wendigo runs away into the forest and Wolverine carries Tommy out of the barn safely.
