Himalayas, Logan is climbing a mountain, trying to reach the top on a mission, suddenly the snow gives away and Logan falls, Logan tries to slow his decent with his claws, but looses his grip and slams into a ledge, which knocks him out.

Hightown Madripoor, Viper's assistant, Khan comes in and warns Viper that they have lost communication with Logan after they dropped him off at the foot of Namjagbarwa Feng. Khan ask if she wants a search party to begin to look for her husband, Viper tells him that he will do nothing, but await her instructions Viper thinks back on how she used the X-ladies against Logan and how she used Logan to defeat the Hand and Hydra to become leader over the people of Madripoor. Viper opens a secret door in her palace, to see into a medical room, where two Hydra agents left that had been affected by a lethal virus that they found in the mountains, one dies and they throw him a vat of acid.

Back on the mountain, Logan continues to climb the mountain, using his claws to his advantage, which have grown back to full length. Logan recalls on how he got involved in this mission for Viper. Viper had called Logan to her palace and she tells him that she had sent some of her men to look for a lost city called Shangri-La, out of all they men only three men returned and they were infected with a lethal virus and were painfully dieing. Viper shows Logan the Hydra agents that were affected by a virus on the mountain. Viper convinces Logan that the virus could kill the entire human race if an antidote is not made, but in order to make a antidote she has to have a sample of the virus. Logan continues to climb and finds a Hydra agent’s uniform all shredded, Logan thinks that a virus wouldn't shred an agents uniform and that their is something else that is going on. Logan finds a cave and enters it.

Inside the cave, Logan finds an old trunk from many years ago, but also finds a Hydra agent cured up in the corner, the agent tells him to get back. Logan grabs the agent and tells him to tell him what is really going on up there. The agent tells Logan that Viper was visited by a monk, who told her that something was up in the mountains, the next day viper sent a team of Hydra agents up the mountain to find a deadly virus, but they got stuck in a storm. Logan tells the agent that he had seen the men that returned and they were infected. The agent tells Logan that Viper probably gave them that virus to convince Logan to come up here.

Hightown Madripoor, Viper watches the city out of the window, when Akihiko walks in and tells viper that the last infected agent from the mountain exhibition has died. Viper tells him that she could care less and ask who Logan was doing. Akihiko tells her that his tracking device is moving, so he must be alive. Viper tells him to keep watch, because when he reaches the virus he will stop moving.

Inside the cave, The Hydra agent tells Logan that he has been seeing something in the shadows, suddenly a huge spider jumps out of the shadows and onto Logan’s chest, biting him in the shoulder. Logan grabs the spider and throws it back. The Hydra agent protects himself by shielding himself with his backpack. Logan stares right into the eye of the spider and realizes that this spider isn't from this world, its poison was really putting a drain on his healing factor, plus the spider had a scent that Logan had never encountered before. The spider attacks with a long tongue with injects Logan with poison each time it stabs him. Logan falls to his knees and grabs his stomach in pain. the alien-spider turns and heads for the Hydra agent, Logan knows he can't give up and leaps at the alien-spider, it turns and shots its long tongue out, but Logan cuts the tongue into pieces with his claws, the alien-spider screams in pain it leaps at Logan, but Logan spears the Alien Spider on his claws and kills it. Logan tells the Hydra agent that the alien-spider probably had lives up their in isolation for decades. Logan tells the agent to find a new profession because if Viper finds out that he is still alive and failed, she will kill him, Logan throws a bomb into the cave and they head back down the mountain.

Hightown Madripoor, Logan gets to Viper and shows her that he brought a piece of the alien-spider. Viper is happy and goes to take the sample, but Logan throws it into the vat of acid. Logan tells her that he knows she wasn't going to make an antidote and that she was really going to use it as a weapon. Viper tells Logan that she knows where the alien-spider is because they had a tracking device on him, Logan tells her to go head and find it, but it had been incinerated from the explosion caused by the bomb that Logan through in the cave. where he presents Viper with a piece of the creature. But Logan throws the piece of the creature into an acid pit, since he knew Viper was planning to use the virus from the creature, replicate it, and use it to kill people. The remains of the creature that Logan had killed was burned after Logan had left an explosive in the cave after he and the "Boy" had returned to base camp.
