Underground Subway, reporter Joanna Chen reports that a sixth victim has been found in the latest string of killings, police still have no clues and no witnesses, but believe that the killing are related. Logan checks the scene for evidence but doesn’t find any, but he does get a scent that he follows down one of the subway tunnels.

Down a subway tunnel, Wolverine finds a piece of the victim’s skirt and follows the scent. Wolverine encounters an elite NYPD team, they think he is the killer at first, until their leader Lieutenant Tara Curson recognizes Wolverine as one of the X-Men. Lieutenant Tara Curson tells Wolverine that she won't have any vigilantes in this case, she tells Wolverine that he can help, but to let them handle it. Wolverine tells her that not many people are direct with him, but he respected her for that. Wolverine tells them that they are not equipped to handle for this, one of the men say that they have been specifically trained for the situation. Wolverine tells them that its time to put that training to use, suddenly the roof caves in and huge creatures crash through. Wolverine takes on one, gets a few good shots in, but it doesn’t leave until it tries to bite Wolverine and hits its teeth on his adamantium skeleton. The creatures leave, Wolverine turns to see that all of the Elite NYPD team is dead except Tara, who was badly hurt. Wolverine tells her to stay back and continues down the subway.

Down the subway, Wolverine finds that a section of the subway is blocked by some webbing, Wolverine cuts through it and finds Spiderman on the other side fighting one of the creatures. The creature tosses Spiderman around, so Wolverine joins the fight and helps kill the creature. Lieutenant Tara Curson shows up and tells Wolverine that she wants to help, she can't just sit back and let them do all the work. They head down the subway, suddenly Spiderman’s spider senses danger, then Mole man, his followers and four of the creatures surround Spiderman, Wolverine and Tara.
