Elijah Snow’s apartment, Detective Lester Brown investigates a shooting where a cop, killed a drug dealer. Lester believes that the cop, McLawry shot Elijah Snow in cold blood. Lester tries to talk to the neighbors, but nobody wants to talk. Lester sees the kid, Juwan coming home and tries to ask him a question, but Juwan runs away and down the apartment building stairs. Lester chases him, but falls and crashes down the stairs and lands on the Juwan. The kid’s mother, Tawanda Barnes comes down and tells Lester that her kid doesn’t know anything. Lester gives her his card and tells her to call if she remembers anything.

Outside, Lester receives a call from dispatch telling him to stop the investigation on officer McLawry. Lester gets frustrated hangs up and gets some alcohol at Bernie’s Liquor.

Police station, an officer wakes Lester up from a drunken nap in his car. Tawanda Barnes comes into the station and tries to file a complaint about Lester, that he hurt his leg. Lester walks into the station and Tawanda starts yelling at him, then walks off. McLawry sees the fight and tells his partner that he is going to eat and get his dry cleaning. The police chief calls Lester to his office, where he tells him that he is off the case, because he can’t find proof. Lester goes to leave, when McLawry’s partner tells Lester that McLawry left to get his dry cleaning, but no dry cleaners are open on Sundays.

Apartments, Lester finds that Tawanda and Juwan’s apartment has been broken into and they were missing. Lester tries to question one of the gang-bangers out front, but the knock him out. Logan comes up and tells the gang to lay off or else.

Later, Lester wakes up in his car with his gun missing. Lester drives off to the cop bar and keeps drinking. Lester finds McLawry there and tells him that he is going to get him for all the wrong he’s done. McLawry tells Lester that he will never find the bodies and pushes him away. Logan over hears the conversation.
