At Caridad's military base, Spore consumes La Bandera's followers leaving her powerless. Spore is about to consume La Bandera, but Wolverine suddenly claws himself out of Spore. Wolverine starts clawing Spore, tearing it apart, La Bandera's followers realize that Spore can be hurt. La Bandera and her followers come back to fight Spore, But too many were being absorbed by Spore. Spore begins to grow. Wolverine, La Bandera, and her followers fall back.

Wolverine and La Bandera hide, Sister Salvation tells Wolverine that Spore is a living disease and she has the ability to heal, which will kill him. They set a trap for Spore, followers bait Spore near a hanger, La Bandera jumps out and shots Spore in the eye and then Wolverine jumps off the top of the hanger on Spore's back, Wolverine cuts chucks off Spore's back, causing him to get weak and fall. Sister Salvation walks up and touches him with her healing powers. Spore feels pain, the same pain he felt when the Celestials had killed him before. Spore melts away and dies.

Sister Salvation is surprised that her hands were burned so badly. Wolverine tells her that maybe the Celestials had foreshadowed the reappearance of Spore, and had gave some a talent for killing him. Salvation tells Wolverine that she herself could be a mutant too. Salvation also says that it could be the healing power of God. Roughouse tells Wolverine that he has decided to stay with Sister Salvation to help her rebuild her mission. La Bandera has decided to continue with her revolution. Wolverine decided to go find Geist.

The presidential Palace in the capital, Geist sees that the revolution has already stolen everything in the palace. Wolverine finds Geist and tears all the cybernetic armor away from his real body, leaving only half a man. Geist pleas for his life, saying he will die unless he gets help. Wolverine tells La Bandera that she has her first war criminal. That night Wolverine discovers that Geist was released from prison, thanks to the CIA, who had been using Geist all along as a mole. Wolverine meets up with CIA agent, Jack Bascomb. Wolverine pushes him over for releasing a former Nazi-supporter, Geist. Wolverine decides to go back to Madripoor.

In Madripoor, Wolverine kidnaps Prince Baran and General Coy and takes them to the city's sewer. Wolverine pours the rest of the cocaine in the sewer. Wolverine then scares them by leaping at them with claws extended. They run away. They finally get out of the sewer and the city people laugh at them for being filthy, hurting their pride.

In Australia, Wolverine returns to his family X-Men.

In Washington D.C. Geist is walking down the street, when someone calls him from the shadows, Geist demands that they tell him who they are.
