Patch possessed by the black blade intends to sacrifice Jessica Drew to permanently bond the blades evil spirit to his own. Patch escapes with Jessica into the flame. Lindsey McCabe barely escapes the falling burning building. Silver Samurai has to cut a pieces of her dress off that caught fire. They have no idea where patch went.

At the Princess Bar, The Police Chief Tai stops by and questions O'Donnell about the warehouse that patch burned, then leaves. O'Donnell has the three prisoners of the cult in the basement. O'Donnell can't get them to tell him where their hideout is. Lindsay using her actress skills pretends to kill one of the cultist in the shadows for not talking. The two other cultist yell that they will talk, just keep Lindsey away from them. They tell O'Donnell where the hideout is. Afterwards Silver Samurai thought Lindsay really did kill one of the them, but Lindsay tells him it was all a show. She used fake blood and her own voice for the screams.

Silver Samurai, Lindsey McCabe and O'Donnell head to an old highland temple in the middle of nowhere. O'Donnell waits back and watches their backs. Lindsey takes a sniper rifle. Silver Samurai tells Lindsay to kill Patch before Patch kills Jessica. Lindsay feels guilty about having to shot patch, But just before he sacrifices Jessica, she shoots him in the head. Lindsey thinks she killed him and runs down to get Jessica. Silver Samurai deals with the attacking cult members. Patch gets up and is about to kill Lindsey, but Samurai steps in. The battle rages as they fight back and forth. The black blade cuts Samurai's sword to pieces, Patch goes at Silver Samurai for the kill, but Lindsay shoots Patch in the side. Patch begins to yell, throws off his mask, then throws the black blade into a wall, just then he falls to the ground. Jessica snaps back to reality. Patch fought the spirit right out of his mind because he didn't want to hurt his friends. Silver Samurai pulls the black blade from the wall. Patch gets ready to fight, thinking Silver Samurai will become possessed, but Silver Samurai doesn’t change. Silver Samurai figures that the blade has found its master. The Silver Samurai Leaves not wanting to meet again. Patch carries Jessica off with Lindsey walking at their side.
