In Midtown Manhattan, on a rooftop, Wolverine is waiting to see the Hunter in Darkness. Jubilee is following Wolverine, but tries to say she isn't. Wolverine tells Jubilee that he needs to do this on his own, its the beast in him that wants to help the Hunter in Darkness. Wolverine jumps down off the rooftop, so Jubilee can't follow. Wolverine hides on top of a billboard in Times Square were they are going to show the Hunter in Darkness. Meanwhile, in an apartment across from Wolverine, a mysterious lady with a high-powered sniper rifle prepares to kill the Hunter in Darkness while on displayed.

In the sewers, Albert works on rebuilding a better body for Elsie Dee, with all kinds of upgrades. Masque and his Morlocks are trying to get rid of Albert.

In Lower Manhattan, in the shadow of the Brooklyn bridge, a mugger tries to kill a lady, but Sabretooth kills him. The lady thanks Sabretooth, but he punches her in the face and steals her money.

In Time square, Jubilee shows up in the crowd of people wanting to see the Hunter in Darkness. Ronald Parvenue flies in on a helicopter, with the Hunter in Darkness hanging below. In the crowd, Sabretooth shows up, because he also expected Logan to be there. Sabretooth smells Lady Deathstrike in the helicopter. The mysterious lady shots a round into the Hunter in darkness. Ronald Parvenue tells the helicopter pilot to get out of here. Wolverine jumps onto the cage. Sabretooth sees this and runs over and grabs onto the cage. Lady Deathstrike jumps down from the helicopter onto the cage.

In the sewers, Albert diverts all the city's power to the lab for Elsie Dee to make her new body, causing the city lights to go out.

On the cage being towed through the air by the helicopter, Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth attack at Wolverine. The mysterious lady can't see her target in the dark. Jubilee worried about Wolverine can't see the fight in the dark either, so she lights up the sky with fireworks. The helicopter pilots get blinded by the light, lose control, crashing the cage into a water tower on top of a building. They all get up out of the debris and realize the Hunter in Darkness is now free.
