In the Canadian Rockies, Logan, Storm, Cannonball, and Caliban go rock climbing. Wolverine and Storm get to the top and gaze at the beautiful view. Caliban and Cannonball struggle to reach the top. That night, they take a rest at the campfire and toast s'mores. Cannonball and Caliban ask Logan to tell them a story about the X-Men. Logan remembers back and tells them this story.

In the Past, At the X-Mansion, Logan would get drunk everyday to try and forget about Maiko Yashida, he felt alone, but one day Storm came to Logan and ask for him to go to her attic greenhouse. There Storm shoed Logan a mutant plant that had grown and told him it was special, like him. Storm cut it and gave it to him, then told Logan that he must appreciate the flower while its hear.

In the Canadian Rockies, Logan tells them that the point of the story is that the X-Men take car of their own. Storm mentions that she did nothing more then what Logan has done for her and the whole team. Logan senses something, Noah and Zoe Culloden are watching the team from afar with cloaking devices, so they can't be seen, suddenly a bear appears out of the forest. Noah and Zoe Culloden quickly teleport away with out being seen. The bear charges the team, Logan pushes Storm and Caliban out of the way, then the bear slashes open Logan's chest. Cannonball tries to attack the bear, but gets knocked away. Storm calls on the weather, but Logan stops her and tells them that the bear doesn't want to hurt anybody. Logan explains that the bear is just hurt and afraid.

Much later, Storm tells Logan that despite all the changes he’s going through, he still choose not to hurt the bear. But inside, Logan thinks to himself how he can't really explain it to his friends that he's changing, something on the inside has changed, he’s starting to see people differently, he’s beginning to see them as prey.

Elsewhere in Egypt, the Dark Raiders, Lefeforce, Hurricane, and Spyne take Cyber to a room with a huge vault door. Cyber questions the room, because it has no exits besides the vault door. Hurricane tells Cyber to just get in the room, Cyber punches Hurricane through a wall. Lifeforce and Spyne try and grab Cyber, but he knocks them off. Genesis jumps down from a observation room and plasma blast Cyber with his gun. hurricane pushes Cyber into the room, and they lock the vault door behind him. Death watch beetles are released into the room, they start attacking Cyber, eating his flesh away until only the adamantium was left behind.
