In Egypt, Wolverine and Expediter arrive by teleportation gate. Zoe Culloden tells Wolverine that the ruin city was once called Akkaba. Zoe Culloden scan the area and finds that Chimera had been their. she tells Wolverine to follow his fate and find the citadel of Genesis, she will meet up with him again, but right now she must track down Chimera. Wolverine encounter Jamil, who offers to take Wolverine to the Citadel. As they walk through the desert to the hidden Citadel, Wolverine senses that Jamil is leading him to an ambush. They arrive at the citadel, Jamil tells Wolverine to enter through the door, but Wolverine decides to sneak around and find a back entrance.

In Madripoor at the Princess Bar, Cannonball arrives to find that the bar is a wreck, some thugs block the door to the exit. Cannonball yells them to move, then suddenly Tyger Tiger pulls up in her car and shots at the thugs. The thugs run off when they find out that cannonball is a friend of Patch's. Tyger Tiger takes Cannonball to the Landau, Luckman and Lake office to the warp door. Cannonball enters through the door way and land in Akkiba, Cannonball follows Wolverine's footsteps in the sand.

In Akkaba, Egypt, Wolverine sneaks past a minefield and lasers to the back of the citadel, suddenly a space ship lands, Wolverine hides in the sand. Hurricane, Deadbolt, and Gauntlet are unloading psychic prisoners for Genesis. Wolverine quickly sneaks in before the back door shuts. Inside Wolverine finds Dirt Nap and chases him down the corridor. Dirt Nap jumps to the shoulder of someone in the shadows, Wolverine can't see who it is until its too late, Genesis jumps out and plasma blast Wolverine at full power. Deadbolt and Hurricane take Wolverine who is unconscious and strap him to a table, then they submerge him in the bonding chamber. Genesis tells Wolverine that he is going to be the captain of his Dark Raiders after erasing Wolverine's memories and implanting new ones. Genesis reveals that he plans to rebound Wolverine's skeleton with the adamantium he killed Cyber for. Genesis tells Lifeforce to start the bonding process.
