Origins & Endings: Chapter 5,

Beneath the Streets of Belgrade, Seabia. Winter Soldier and Logan sit across from each other, Winter Soldier states that he remembers his memories now and assumes Logan has remembered his and apologizes for killing Logan’s wife.

Flashback, Logan approaches a small village in Jasmine Falls, Japan. Logan notices a beautiful young lady by the name Itsu, then is greeted by Bando Suboro, Logan tells Bando that Ogun had told him to seek Bando when he was ready. Bando agrees to train Logan. Bando tells Logan that all the men in the village are former ninjas. Bando explains that the village is now Logan’s home and teaches Logan to build a house for himself. After 4 years of training, Itsu and Logan become husband and wife. Shortly after, Itsu gets pregnant. The village celebrate, by putting Logan through a test of worthiness, strength and of honor. Five of the men attack at Logan, Logan knows that all he has to do is control his bestial side and control himself, Logan avoids all there attacks and keeps from fighting back. Suddenly a huge explosion occurs on the mountain side, Logan unleashes his claws and accidentally cuts one of the men. Logan explains that it was just his reflexes from the explosion. Bando tells Logan that the immortal Muramasa is the man that caused the explosion and Logan will meet him one day and it will be Logan’s final test.

Later, Logan knows that he failed the test and is prepared to leave the village and not return until he is ready, but suddenly Logan smells blood, Itsu’s blood and goes running back to town. Logan enters his house to find Itsu laying dead on the floor, a gunshot to her heart and two in the stomach.

Present, Logan tells Winter soldier that he didn’t know it was him that killed Itsu. Winter Soldier ask why then did Logan come after him? Winter Soldier tells Logan that he killed Itsu to draw Logan out and to get him to follow him back to Madripoor. Logan explains that he didn’t chase him because he spent the last five years of his life trying to control his rage.

Past, Logan climbs the mountain, and realized that he could never become a better man, because he was never a man at all. Logan arrives where he saw the explosion, Muramasa tells Logan that he has been waiting for him to come. Logan enraged tells Muramasa that he wants to kill. Muramasa tells Logan that he will help him, by forging a mighty blade that the earth has ever seen and no man or beast can stand. Muramasa explains that even one as great as Logan would fall, the blade will be his masterwork.

Present, Winter Soldier tells Logan that he has never heard of Muramasa. Logan says he remembers him ambushing them later. Winter Soldier explains that about a month later, he ambushed Muramasa’s men and captured Logan, when was extracted 8 hours later. Logan tells Winter Soldier that they are not done and that since he told him some things he didn’t know. Logan tells Winter Soldier something about himself that he didn’t know. Logan leaves China by using fake paper and goes to Jasmine falls.

Jasmine Falls, Japan. Logan climbs to the top of the mountain just as he did so many years before. Logan yells out to Muramasa that he has returned for what is his. Muramasa appears and tells Logan to tell him what he has come to claim. Logan grits his teeth and answers “revenge”. Muramasa reveals a sword, bows and hands it out for Logan to take. Logan grabs it and unsheathes it. Muramasa tells Logan to weld it like an angry God.
