In the X-Mansion, Sabretooth is watching news footage about the beating and apprehension of Linus Dorfmann by the NYPD in his cell. Logan returns to the X-Mansion and goes right to Sabretooth's cell. Sabretooth immediately tries to attack Logan, but the force field keeps him from getting at Logan. Logan doesn’t even flinch and tells Sabretooth that his commitment to the X-Men comes before his personal grudge against him, then walks away.

Logan tries to get Sabretooth off his mind by working out in the gym, then he relaxes in a hot tub, then watches a little TV, while eating dinner. Logan goes to bed, but still can't get Sabretooth off his mind, so Logan head down to see Sabretooth.

Down below in Sabretooth's cell, Sabretooth watches the replays of the Linus Dorfmann beating on the TV, then charges at the force field at full speed and breaks through. Wolverine arrives just in time to notice that Sabretooth has broken free from his cell. Logan ask Sabretooth to put on restraints or else. Sabretooth attacks Wolverine and they battle back and forth, exchanging blows. Sabretooth threatens to kill Jean Grey, Heather Hudson, Kitty Pride and Jubilee, unless Wolverine stops him. Wolverine tells Sabretooth that he now has a reason to kill him for the safety of the X-men. Wolverine throws Sabretooth into a wall, knocking out Sabretooth's teeth. Logan unleashes his outer claws, but not his middle claw, the two claws cut each side of Sabretooth’s face. Sabretooth tells Wolverine that if he doesn’t stop him, he is going to kill everyone that Wolverine ever cared about. Wolverine extends his last claw, which stabs throw Sabretooth’s brain.
