Hardcase was hirred to defend General Coy's opium plantation operations. Patch met and defeated Hardcase's men, afterwards Patch blow up General Coy's opium. Hardcase, Shotgun and Axe escaped the explosion by running into the jungle. Hardcase vowed that he would see Patch again someday.
