Developers need a solid understanding of programming languages, such as HTML and XML, to write code for their sites. A Software Engineer or a Programmer Analyst is a typical transition from a Computer Programmer role. So, as you’ve seen, higher-level programming languages provide similar functionality and in a form that is closer to the English language.
Students take courses in computer architecture, operating systems, advanced programming techniques, database management, network administration & design, developing internet applications using ASP and Java, and general education. Computer programmers write the code that enables applications and programs to perform their intended tasks.
Programmers can also rewrite, debug, maintain and test (and retest and retest) software and programs that instruct the computer to accomplish certain tasks, such as storing or retrieving data, so the computer can perform better and more efficiently. After engineers and analysts design the software, describing how it will work, the programmer writes, tests and maintains a computer program.

Computer programmers translate project specifications from software and systems engineers into a script of logical instructions that computers can understand and interpret into functioning programs. They also will plan, design and develop programming applications, as well as create and host web applications. Graduates will be equipped with programming skills to find employment as business-application programmers, database managers and system analysts.
This course focuses on using Visual Basic for Applications programming to support applications in Microsoft Office. This degree strongly emphasizes programming and includes Java, C++ and Visual Basic. Even if you decide that programming is not for you, understanding the process certainly will increase your appreciation of what programmers and computers can do.
This course focuses on the development of dynamic web applications using and C#. Students employ test-driven programming methodologies to develop secure, high-performance, database driven applications. They may translate the designs of software developers and engineers into workable code.
